These terms govern your use of HeirPortal. By using our service, you agree to these terms. We've kept it readable.
The Basics
HeirPortal provides a platform for estate executors to communicate with family members during the probate process. We help you share updates, documents, and milestones with the people who need to know — all in one secure place.

Your Content
You own your uploads. All documents, updates, and content you add to HeirPortal remain your property.
By using HeirPortal, you grant us a license to store, process and display your content to provide the service: to the people you invite, and through the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We will never make your content public.

Executor Kit (one-time purchase)
Price
The Executor Kit is a one-time payment of $99. It is not a subscription and nothing renews.
What's included
It includes a PDF packet for a state where the Kit is on sale: a fill-in estate workbook, and a guide to that state's probate court, its probate procedures, and where to find official probate forms or self-help.
It also includes 90 days of HeirPortal Standard access, starting on the day you buy. If you buy it again, your access runs until 90 days after the later purchase, or longer if you already had longer.

Refunds and disputes
A full refund ends the HeirPortal access that purchase gave you. A payment dispute suspends that access while the dispute is open. If it closes in our favour, the access comes back until the end of its original 90 days; otherwise it ends.
Your account and estates stay. Without a subscription or trial of your own, the Free plan's limits apply.
Your packet
A packet you have already downloaded is yours to keep. Settings → Billing offers a fresh download of the packet from your most recent paid purchase: one that has not been refunded and is not under an open or lost dispute.

HeirPortal is a communication tool, not a substitute for legal advice. Always consult qualified legal professionals for estate planning and probate matters.
Our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Disputes
We hope it never comes to this, but if there's a dispute:
- Try to resolve directly first — contact us at support@heirportal.com
- If that doesn't work, binding arbitration under AAA rules
- Class action waiver applies
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated with 30 days advance notice via email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
